About Swimwell

Swimwell Academy was established as an STA Approved Training Centre in June 2022 by Julie Hand.

In the post pandemic season, there was a noticeable decline in active swimming teachers. To create new swimming teachers, to meet the demands of the Swimwell swim school, it became a natural succession to become an Approved Training Centre.

Once qualified as STA tutors, Julie and Kay ran the first Award Course in July 2022, and the Academy went on to qualify 75 teachers in it’s first year.

Swimwell Academy offers a variety of courses in Aquatic Disciplines and Lifesaving. Courses are run at various sites across the West Midlands.
