STA Disability Swimming Course
STA level 2 Award in Aquatic Teaching – Disability swimming is the perfect progression stepping stone for anybody that is 16 and wants to expand their knowledge of teaching swimming to individuals with Disabilities in a group or 1-2-1 setting.
This qualification could appeal to:
• Swim club swimmers, students
• Swimming teachers
• Teaching assistants, sports coaches
The course is a mixture of practical and theory content.

The Assessment
• MCQ Question Paper
• Tutor assessment
• Portfolios
Entry Requirements
• Be 16 years of age
• Hold current membership of STA
• Hold the STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming or acceptable equivalent. (Please note a Level 1 Award in Aquatic Teaching / assistant qualification is not an acceptable entry requirement).

• 24 contact hour
• Over 3 days
• 6 hours of self-study
